Ian Hull comments on Supreme Court of Canada decisions on joint accounts

The Supreme Court of Canada recently released two decisions dealing with the issue of joint accounts between a parent and an adult child, and specifically, who is entitled to the proceeds upon the death of the parent.

Ian Hull commented on the two cases in a feature article in the
May 14, 2007 edition of the Law Times, and suggested that individuals who set up joint accounts clearly document their intentions as to who is entitled to the account proceeds upon the death of an account holder.
